We are delighted to announce Donald Carson has joined GX2 Spread Markets (GX2SM) in a senior leadership role. He will lead the global effort to bring individualized proprietary algorithmic trading solutions, strategic content and a concierge execution sales trading model via voice and IB to the GX2 and South Street customer bases.
Don joins us with an extensive career in fixed income trading with a core focus on US monetary policy, macro trading, G7 rates with an emphasis on volatility product, FX and equity derivative trading strategies. He has managed discretionary portfolios for industry bellwethers including Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, Garda Capital Management and Brevan Howard.
Prior to his nearly dozen-year history on the buy-side, Don ran multiple sell-side businesses including the Global Swaps Desk at Credit Suisse. He has significant experience trading the Canadian fixed-income cash and derivatives market as well as the USD short-end derivatives and options complex. Don began his career as an interest rate quant at Bank of America.
Don will be responsible for building out GX2’s global execution coverage model for our sophisticated primary dealer and hedge fund client base who have discretionary and systematic trading mandates for directional, relative value, mean reversion, and volatility trading strategies.
Don is uniquely positioned to partner with GX2's engineering team and contribute to further improvements in the development of our proprietary financial market software. GX2 Systems is an engineering company specializing in the development and implementation of U.S. Treasury (UST) securities liquidity, algorithmic, agency brokerage and principal execution and related analytical solutions. We look forward to leveraging Don’s expertise in rates derivatives to help us grow the global product and coverage footprint across the GX2 Spread Markets and South Street Securities client franchises.
